Thinking of my mom

My mom is in the midst of her fourth cycle of chemo today. I am so thankful that she is on the downhill slope of her treatments, but also painfully aware of the passage of time.

The speaker at our camp is going through the wisdom literature of the Bible- excellent teaching. Last night he taught about Job- an excellent reminder for me about a spiritual perspective on suffering.

Hey Riss...I just left this verse on your mom's blog, but it's good for you too....1 Peter 5:10. Remember how much it meant to me and Kathleen Colburn? Hope it blesses you. Love you!

SO happy to read on your Mom's blog all the positive things going on with her. Your dad is a beautiful communicator - what a sweet soul (like Max). Sorry about the konk, buddy. Monroe's first words this morning in her little princess bed were that Gene and I could leave the house today and that she would just wait for the doorbell to ring and ask whoever it was if they would be her babysitter. She's got it all figured out. (Except stranger-danger!)
