Something REALLY important

I'm taking a brief break from our California trip report to draw your attention to something really, really important.

Did you know that there are thousands of people- PEOPLE- who are living as slaves today in our world? Thousands of these are girls and women who are sex slaves. We are talking about forced prostitution. Human trafficking is an ugly but real part of our world, and there is something that each of us can do to help.

International Princess Project is is a non-profit organization that helps women in India build a new life after they have been rescued or have escaped from a life of forced prostitution. IPP trains these women in a marketable skill (sewing) to help them support themselves.

My sister-in-law Laura is the director of IPP. During our time in California this weekend, I got to hear a lot of details from Laura about the real women she met in India whose lives are redeemed on so many levels because of IPP.

The coolest part about all this is that you can now buy Punjammies, the beautiful pjs that these women sew through IPP. The online store just went live this week, and there are a limited amount of pjs availble... so buy them now to a) do something real and tangible to help these beautiful Indian women, and b) get your Christmas shopping done early and actually buy something that is beautiful, useful and meaningful!
